Bridge the generation (and fitness) gap, by using one of our electric bikes on your cycling holiday. Here is Chris handing out an electric bike to Ali on our Quietest Cycle Tour under the Sun. Her partner Matt rides 100 miles a week; Ali only rides 20 miles a week and she's worried about keeping up.
The electric bike motor is fitted to one of our Trek hybrid bikes, meaning that you get a great ride on a bike that fits your height. There is a is a simple switch so that you can decide how much electric power you want.
The motor is fitted onto the wheel, with an battery on the saddle rack or frame. So it doesn't look much different from a normal bike...but with that added boost to your pedalling. The battery runs for 30 miles with ease (most of our routes are about 20-30 miles per day), and is simple to charge overnight at your B&B
And this is the electric bike in action ....Ali has zoomed ahead of the boys!
It meant the 15 miles to Hopton Castle was covered without raising a sweat
And Ali still looks as though she's found it all very easy... but didn't stop the trio discussing where the best teas are to be had in Ludlow
