Day 1. Petchfield Farm to Leintwardine
Cycle to Leintwardine, following the River Teme on an idyllic lane. Explore the Teme valley towards Wales and Offa's Dyke. Stop for coffee at Brampton Bryan with its amazing yew hedge or cycle to Hopton Castle for afternoon tea. Total 5 - 28 miles (8 - 45km)
Day 2. Leintwardine to Hay on Wye
Cycle through the glorious countryside of North Herefordshire to cross the River Lugg at Presteigne which marks the border with Wales. Presteigne is home to the unique Judges Lodging museum. From Presteigne, head to the market town of Kington to visit the spectacular Hergest Croft Gardens. Next cycle over Brilley Mountain (don't miss National Trust's Cwmmau Farmhouse on its special open days) and down to the River Wye . Hay on Wye is a lovely town, famed for its bookshops, castle and literary festival. Total 33 miles (53 km).
Day 3. Circular tour from Hay to Llangorse Lake
Lots to do at Hay, Cycle to Llangorse Lake, visit Treberfydd walled garden, go canoeing down the Wye or take the time to explore Hay and all those bookshops. Total 28- 32 miles (45 - 51 km)
Day 4. Hay on Wye to Weobley
Cross the Wye at the toll bridge (cyclists toll is 10p) & cycle through the Black and White villages of North Herefordshire. Visit Pembridge; home to Westonbury Water Gardens, and Dunkerton's cider. Total 16 - 21 miles (25 - 33km)
Day 5. Explore the Black & and White Villages
Easy cycle routes; visit the Brobury House gardens at Bredwardine, try the Eardisland teashop tour. Look out for details of open gardens around the Black & White villages. Choice of cycle routes 16 - 20 miles (26 - 32 km)
Day 6. Weobley to Petchfield Farm
There are two grand National Trust houses to visit; Croft Castle and Berrington Hall. If you have time, visit Richards Castle (one of the first four Norman castles built in this country....before 1066), the perfect place for a picnic. Finishing any time in the afternoon, back at Petchfield Farm. Total 18 - 24 miles (32 - 39 km)
