Website Privacy Policy
Wheely Wonderful Cycling is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. We do not share your information with any other person or business. We fully subscribe to the 2018 GDPR legislation.
On our website, we have the following areas where we collect information
NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIPTION we ask for your name & email. In subscribing to the Newsletter, you receive updates to our blog as & when we publish and we email you up to 6 times a year a newsletter with news and information. You are given the opportunity to unsubscribe on every newsletter.
CONTACT US we ask for your name & email. We answer your individual enquiry. We keep your email correspondence until your enquiry is complete, after that it is deleted. We send you the next newsletter, with the option to unsubscribe from future mailings.
BOOKING OR ENQUIRY for a cycling or walking holiday. Here we ask for more detailed information, to enable us to book your holiday or answer your holiday enquiry. This is kept until the holiday has been booked, paid for and completed. At the end of each year’s holiday season, we delete all detailed holiday information e.g. party members names, dietary requirements etc. We do however keep your name, address, telephone, email and date & name of holiday, so that we can easily set up a holiday for you when you make a repeat booking. All Booking enquiries are sent our newsletters with the opportunity to unsubscribe on every newsletter.
CYCLE MAP SALES ordering a map, once the map is despatched, we shred card details. We send you the next newsletter, with the option to unsubscribe from future mailings.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS is set up to provide data from our website. Data collected is generalised so that we have marketing information about how our website is being used. No specific customer data is collected.
NEWSLETTERS are sent out using Mailchimp or Wix systems, to ensure that the unsubscribe system works effectively.
CREDIT CARD AND PAYMENT DETAILS Card and payment details are never kept on a computer. We are PCI compliant.
PHOTOS We love to see our customers holiday photos. If you share them with us, we ask your permission if we would like to feature them on Social media or on our website. We label them with your initials and home country e.g. Mrs G from Australia.
WIX WEBSITE DESIGN Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council.
COOKIES We use cookies on this website to gather information about usage of our website (for Google analytics reports) A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site.
